For the first season of The Rehearsal, my team and our agency partner Cold Open set out to bring the show’s layered, unsettling, and hysterical premise to life through key art. The series follows Nathan Fielder as he helps others rehearse life’s biggest moments — gradually revealing that the experiment is just as much about him as it is about them.
To capture that idea, we built an image around a seemingly perfect family dinner, except the family is made of hyper-realistic medical dummies. It looks almost real, but not quite, mirroring Nathan’s obsession with control and the show’s tension between authenticity and artifice.
